The Southern Regional Health Authority through its Environmental Health Programme certifies food handlers, food establishments, hotels and swimming pools. The certification programme is done at the Parish Health Departments through which all applications and queries are to be routed. This site will list certified Food Establishments, Hotels and Swimming Pools. It will also outline the steps to be taken by the public to apply for these certifications.

All food handling establishments must submit to meeting the objectives of this program to gain certification status.
Provide the mandatory certification to individuals who work in the food industry.
As stipulated by the Tourism Product Development Company (TPDCo), it is mandatory that all tourist establishments gain this status of certification.
Customer Service Standard
Customer service is essential to effective service delivery and the Southern Regional Health Authority (SRHA) has been working assiduosly to improve and to implement systems to improve standards of customer service delivery.
In 2011, a customer service hotline was launched in an effort to improve client relations and enhance service delivery at health facilities within the region. Through this hotline, clients will be able to register complaints or compliments regarding service received.
